We are looking for a talented and versatile PHP / Full Stack Developer to join our MDTS team. In this role, you will play an integral part in our client services department, where you’ll be responsible for maintaining, updating, and building high-quality websites and web applications using our preferred framework, Laravel. Your work will range from developing brand-new features to refining existing functionality and occasionally tackling those pesky bugs.
This role requires a strong command of both front-end and back-end development, with the ability to deliver robust, scalable, and visually appealing digital solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with our designers, product owners, and other developers to ensure seamless user experiences and cutting-edge features for our clients in the automotive sector.

PHP Full Stack Developer Key Responsibilities:
- Web Application Development: Build and maintain commercial web applications using Laravel, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and REST APIs.
- Client Collaboration: Deliver professional, reliable solutions while building strong, long-term client relationships.
- Large-Scale SaaS Development: Play a central role in designing and developing high-volume SaaS solutions within the automotive industry.
- Continuous Delivery & Integration: Implement best practices in CD/CI to ensure smooth deployment cycles.
- Research & Development: Explore new technologies and present ideas to keep Nexus Point ahead in the automotive tech space.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit and functional test cases to maintain high code quality.
- Database Design: Work with relational SQL databases to design, query, and optimise data structures.
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Mentorship: Participate in training and skills development for team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Laravel or another modern MVC framework (e.g., Symfony).
- Strong proficiency in PHP 7.1+ with solid OOP principles.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript, and responsive front-end frameworks.
- Experience with Git for version control.
- Understanding of cross-browser/platform compatibility, performance optimisation, and web server management.
- Familiarity with Responsive Web Design, semantic HTML, Open Graph Protocol, and mobile/social web technologies.
- Preferred experience in WordPress or other CMS platforms.
Desirable Skills
- Databases: MySQL / PostgreSQL or similar.
- Servers: NGINX, AWS, Docker.
- Front-end Frameworks: VueJS v2, Nuxt.js, or Angular.
- Tools & Protocols: SSH, FTP, S3, HTTP(S), XML, JSON, AJAX.
- DevOps & Cloud: Experience with AWS services and containerisation.
