Job Description

Join the Team Behind the UK’s First Direct-to-Consumer Blood Testing Platform. We pioneered the UK’s first direct-to-consumer blood testing service—creating a whole new market where none existed. Today, our B2C offering continues to thrive, and we’re now expanding into B2B and B2B2C markets through our cutting-edge technology platform, Plasma.

Our vision is simple: to be part of everyone’s journey to better health. We’re building the healthcare platform of the future, powered by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, engineers, designers, and communicators, all united by a shared mission to improve lives. We’re looking for people who want to use their skills to make a real difference in how blood testing and insights are delivered.

Senior Full Stack Developer Role:

You’ll be a key player in building the software that powers our growth, bringing your experience and passion for technology to a talented team. This is a hands-on role, working across exciting greenfield projects and innovative solutions that support our evolving products and services.

Our Tech Stack

  • You’ll be working with modern tools and infrastructure, including:
  • Golang – For building scalable microservices and applications
  • Kubernetes & Docker – For orchestration and containerisation
  • AWS – To power our cloud infrastructure
  • Vue.js – For crafting dynamic, responsive front-ends

We’re committed to supporting your growth and curiosity, with a strong emphasis on personal development and continuous learning.

Key Challenges:

  • Delivering high-quality, secure software while safeguarding patient confidentiality
  • Communicating critical health insights clearly and responsibly
  • Migrating features from legacy systems to our modern tech stack
  • Innovating to enhance people’s health and lives

What You’ll Do:

  • Build robust, well-structured software using modern development practices
  • Contribute to technical direction, mentoring team members, and upholding best practices
  • Work across the full stack on both new builds and existing systems
  • Solve complex problems with thoughtful, scalable solutions
  • Influence how we work and continuously improve our technology delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong full-stack experience with a focus on building reliable, user-centric products
  • A product mindset with a passion for improving customer outcomes
  • A data-informed decision-maker who thrives in ambiguous environments
  • Someone with an interest in distributed systems and resilient software design
  • Familiarity with our stack: Go, Vue.js, AWS, Terraform, SQL
  • An appreciation for clean, maintainable code and software design patterns

How We Work

We embrace a hybrid, flexible working approach. Most of your time will be spent working remotely, with occasional meetups for collaboration or 1:1s. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your time around core business hours, trusting you to do your best work when and where it suits you and your team.

We Offer:

  • People, Perks & Culture

We believe great people build great companies. Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (buy/sell options available)
  • Hybrid working from anywhere in the UK
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity and paid sick leave
  • Free/discounted Medichecks blood tests for you & loved ones
  • Free access to an online GP
  • Free eye tests and flu jabs
  • Discounts and freebies via our rewards platform
  • 2 paid days per year for charity/community volunteering
  • Flexi lunch breaks to support work-life balance
  • Salary sacrifice pension options
  • On-site parking (for Nottingham office visits)
