We’re looking for a proactive Mid-Level Backend Engineer (Golang) with a passion for building robust, scalable software to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of high-performance systems and services that underpin our cutting-edge transport infrastructure products. You’ll take ownership of backend components, APIs, and service integrations—working independently while collaborating closely with a high-performing, friendly team.
Mid-Level Golang Backend Engineer RoleGit
- You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services and integrations that are reliable, modular, and future-proof. Expect to be hands-on with:
- Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code using Golang
- Designing and developing scalable APIs and microservices
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality standards
- Collaborating with engineers and product managers on architecture and delivery
- Participating in the full development lifecycle—design, test, release, iterate
- Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
- Working with cloud services (Google Cloud, etc.) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Must-Haves
- 2+ years of commercial experience with Golang in production environments
- Experience building and shipping real products (not just academic projects)
- Strong SQL/NoSQL database knowledge with query optimization skills
- Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience working with cloud providers, especially Google Cloud
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Passion for learning and continuously improving your craft
Nice to Have
- Test-Driven, Behaviour-Driven, or Domain-Driven Development (TDD, BDD, DDD)
- Experience in SaaS development
- Python proficiency
- Previous startup or scale-up experience
