Job Description

We are seeking an experienced  2nd Line MSP IT Support Engineer -  Monday to Friday | 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.

A leading Managed IT Services Provider based in West Sussex is looking for a talented and motivated 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team of IT professionals.

IT Support Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality IT support remotely, on-site, and over the phone to our business clients
  • Manage and resolve 1st and 2nd line support escalations
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and proactive support for client systems, networks, and services
  • Ensure accurate documentation and time logging of work performed
  • Participate in and lead various IT projects, maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and support tickets are regularly updated
  • Travel to client sites as needed (within the region)

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure administration and support
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, TCP/IP, and RDS
  • Familiarity with Hyper-V, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls
  • Experience with VoIP setup and troubleshooting
  • Skilled with RMM tools, backup solutions, and Autotask (or similar PSA platforms)
  • Confident decision-making and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport

  • Microsoft certifications (or working towards them)
  • Passion for IT and professional development
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and challenges
