Senior PHP Developer (ID: mVITZt96)

We’re hiring a Senior PHP Developer to join a privately owned company building cutting-edge systems across eGaming, Fintech, big data analytics, and intelligent automation. Based in or near Oxford, you’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving a highly dynamic web platform, with a focus on frontend development, Laravel/PHP, and seamless API integrations.

This role blends hands-on coding with cross-team collaboration — perfect for a developer who thrives on solving complex problems and shaping high-performance digital experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Translating business requirements into robust, production-ready solutions
• Working across both current and future web components, with a strong grasp of architecture
• Supporting and advising internal teams to align development with broader business goals
• Acting as a go-to expert on how the menu architecture fits within the wider platform
• Bringing a proactive, positive approach to team collaboration
• Continuously learning and engaging with new tools, frameworks, and methodologies
• Contributing to planning, documentation, and delivery using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Svelte/SvelteKit, Vue, or React)
• Solid background in Laravel (v9+) and PHP (v8+)
• Good understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript in a web context
• Comfortable working with MySQL and understanding how it integrates with Laravel
• Confident with HTML, CSS, and utility frameworks like TailwindCSS
• Experience with Linux server deployment tools such as Laravel Forge, Nova, and Envoyer
• Familiarity with npm or Yarn for package management
• RESTful API integration and understanding of Web Services
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and headless tools like Puppeteer or Playwright
• Ability to test across devices using tools like BrowserStack
• Understanding of sessions, cookies, and web security best practices (Cloudflare experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of SOLID design principles and a mobile-first development approach
