What You’ll Do as a Roblox Video Game Developer

In this role, you’ll be more than a Roblox Developer — you’ll be a creative force in designing, coding, and releasing games and updates that keep players excited, engaged, and talking.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain our existing Roblox titles, ensuring they stay fresh, polished, and competitive.
• Lead new game development projects, from concept to release, setting a high standard of creativity and execution.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Luau code, with smart design patterns that ensure scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to bring bold ideas to life.
• Ship regular, high-quality updates that keep our games at the forefront of the Roblox platform.
• Solve complex technical and creative challenges with innovation and attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For
Someone who thrives on creativity, problem-solving, and technical mastery. You can both dream up an exciting new gameplay mechanic and make it run flawlessly for thousands of concurrent players.

• 3+ years of Roblox development experience (Luau & Roblox Studio) with a strong portfolio or published games.
• Ability to design engaging gameplay systems that appeal to a wide range of players.
• A strong understanding of game balancing, user retention, and monetisation strategies on Roblox.
• Additional creative skills are a huge plus, such as UI design, graphics, animation, sound, or VFX.
• Excellent communication skills — you can clearly express ideas, give and receive feedback, and work as part of a collaborative team.
• A genuine passion for gaming and knowledge of what makes Roblox experiences go viral.
