Senior Software Developer – Full-Time, Manchester, £50,000–£60,000. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled software developer with strong expertise in software engineering, application development, automation, and system architecture.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications that meet business and user requirements. You will collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers while helping to guide the overall software development lifecycle, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing systems.

The successful Senior Software Developer will possess strong programming knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience delivering reliable software solutions. Training and ongoing development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications as a Senior Software Developer.
  • Ensure company IT software and infrastructure remain stable, secure, and scalable.
  • Conduct system analysis and process reviews to identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
  • Develop high-quality code, perform code reviews, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Ensure the performance, responsiveness, and reliability of applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and manage third-party developers and service providers.
  • Manage development projects, reporting progress, performance metrics, and plans to senior management.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members on software development best practices.
  • Deliver first-line IT support when required across the organisation.
  • Integrate and support third-party platforms, including SAP B1 HANA, Power BI, and Monday.com.
  • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end applications, including WordPress and Laravel websites.
  • Create documentation, procedures, and training materials for new systems and processes.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
  • Proven experience in application development, automation, and system integration.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
