React developer, to help with the development of our innovative products - near-infrared spectrometers to help the world sort out the huge amount of plastic and textile waste. Each tonne of fabric or plastic waste recycled (for which using identification machines such as ours is essential) helps conserve natural resources and prevents pollution from being released - helping save the planet, one machine at a time.
As we are a startup and a small company, your work will have a real impact - on the planet and on our company. You will collaborate with our young and dynamic team - we expect you to be proactive, able to work independently and have a "get it done" spirit.
The work is hybrid remote, in our office in London SW9. We have excellent transport connections - London Underground (Oval station) is just 3 minutes walk and trains (Vauxhall station) is 15 mins.
React Developer Responsibilities:
- Development of React front-end (web interface) for our devices and cloud systems
- Development of React-native based app to control our devices and save data
- Testing such software
- Management of deployed infrastructure / containers
Must have:
- Degree in a relevant field (computer science, or other engineering if plenty of experience)
- 3+ years of demonstrable React/TS proficiency, working on commercial or complex research projects
- Demonstrable proficiency in HTML / CSS
- Professional working English proficiency
- Autonomous and reliable
- Right to work in the UK (we are unable to sponsor visa at this stage, we potentially can after you work for us for >1 year)
Nice to have:
- React Native experience
- iOS/Android app development experience
- Docker / containerisation / deployment experience
- Google Cloud knowledge (or AWS, but we use GCP)
- MongoDB proficiency
