Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated PHP Developer to join our friendly and experienced development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the ongoing evolution of several business-critical systems, including our bespoke Billing and CRM platforms.

You’ll play a key role in building new functionality and maintaining internal applications and services across our group portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement change requests and fixes across bespoke CMS and CRM applications
  • Write unit tests and collaborate with QA Analysts to ensure all developments meet the required standards and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in the support desk rota, handling development-related issues
  • Contribute to key business projects as required
  • Actively engage in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and team meetings

What We’re Looking For: (Essential Skills & Experience)

  • Proven experience in a similar PHP development role
  • Proficiency in PHP and Laravel
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap
  • Solid JavaScript skills, including experience with jQuery and Vue.js
  • Experience working with SQL databases (preferably MariaDB/MySQL)
  • Familiarity with Git version control and branching workflows
  • Experience developing and testing APIs (Postman or similar tools)
  • A solid understanding of unit testing practices
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Customer-focused approach with an eagerness to understand and deliver on business requirements
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle
  • Passion for high-quality development and maintaining coding standards

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with billing systems, especially within Telecoms, MSP, or ICT sectors
  • Prior exposure to CRM or CMS systems
  • Interest or experience in cloud-based development
  • Understanding of development security principles and practices
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework is a plus
  • Relevant industry certifications or experience
