We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join the team and support the ongoing growth of our IT department. You will work within our systems team to ensure the smooth running of all IT operations, with a key focus on database administration.

What you’ll make happen:
- Ensuring the availability of all IT systems, including Microsoft 365 & Azure.
- Performing routine maintenance and upgrading of IT systems.
- Maintaining the company standard of automated database administration
- Establish and maintain effective backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity
- Develop and implement database structures that align with the company's requirements and best practices
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data
- Developing your career, acquiring qualifications and certifications along the way to becoming a cloud database subject manager expert
Who we’re looking for
Senior IT Engineer Essentials
- Has proven experience in an IT engineer role or other relevant technical position
- Proficiency in working with various database management systems such as SQL Server and MySQL
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining robust data security measures
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and the ability to set up effective alerting systems
- Strong problem-resolution/root-cause analysis and decision-making skills
- Demonstrable background in establishing and maintaining effective backup and recovery procedures
Desirable
- Exposure to working with Azure Database services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure Redis Cache
- Experience with ETL using technologies such as Azure Data Factory/Microsoft SSIS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform technologies
- Understanding of ISO27001 & PCI requirements, as well as the regulatory compliance requirements of GDPR and FCA
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
