Job Description

Full Stack Developer required for a revenue-generating, Series A healthcare startup. We are a well-funded, cutting-edge healthcare technology startup looking for a talented Full Stack Developer to join our growing team.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining the front-end and back-end systems that power our healthcare applications and laboratory integrations. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex problems, build innovative solutions, and help shape our technology as we scale.

Developer Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Python, Django, JavaScript, and related technologies such as Apache and MySQL.
  • Build and maintain reliable, scalable back-end services and APIs.
  • Support and maintain integrations between laboratory hardware, analysers, databases, and front-end systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data flow.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Linux- and Windows-based services, systems, and networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and deliver new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Proactively identify technical challenges and contribute to practical solutions that improve our products and processes.
  • Help develop technology that delivers meaningful, high-quality healthcare solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional back-end development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
  • Good working knowledge of JavaScript, with familiarity with React.
  • Strong Linux experience and familiarity with Windows-based environments.
  • Practical experience with Docker and containerised applications.
  • Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL.
  • Experience using Git and modern version-control practices.
  • Experience with GCP or another major cloud platform such as AWS or Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate complex technical concepts.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively in an early-stage startup environment.
