Job Description

A mid to senior-level full-stack developer is required to become a key part of our growing development team. You'll work on a range of business-critical applications, websites, and integrations, helping us deliver innovative technical solutions that drive real value.

The ideal candidate is a skilled full-stack PHP developer who enjoys solving complex problems with clean, maintainable code. If you’re a hands-on, proactive developer with strong team collaboration skills and a drive to continuously improve, we want to hear from you.

PHP Developer Role:

As part of a collaborative and tech-focused team, you’ll contribute to projects from concept through delivery. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, lead technical decisions, and help shape the direction of our software development practices.

We're committed to nurturing technical leadership — confident developers will have the opportunity to take the lead on projects and mentor junior team members.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and maintain bespoke software and middleware solutions.
  • Write high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions aligned to business needs.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor junior developers, promoting best practices and guiding architectural decisions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and development trends.
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards and company policies.
  • Support other tasks as required to meet company and project goals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
  • Strong PHP fundamentals and experience with modern frameworks (Laravel or Symfony preferred).
  • Solid understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP awareness).
  • Experience with tools like Git, Composer, and other modern development workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit, PEST).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).
  • Working knowledge of Docker.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js or React).

Why Join Us?

We’re more than just a development team — we’re a tight-knit group who value learning, mentoring, and growing together. You’ll be part of a culture that supports professional development through training, collaboration, and shared innovation.

Employee Benefits:

  • 33 days annual holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Generous staff discounts (50% off our products, 25% off all Tii Brands)
  • Company pension scheme with salary exchange option
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Sick pay
  • Healthshield cash back scheme (after 6 months)
  • Cycle-to-Work scheme
  • Free on-site parking
  • Casual dress code
  • Complimentary tea and coffee
  • Regular social events and long service recognition
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training programs
