Senior PHP Developer (ID: aDCWi3pk)

A family-run business that has grown rapidly over the past nine years. Due to this continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Senior PHP Developer to join us. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality personalisation that helps our clients’ workwear stand out. Our expertise includes garment customisation through embroidery, vinyl application, and full-colour printing.

PHP Developer Requirements & Experience

• 5–6 years of professional experience in PHP, including both vanilla (plain) PHP and object-oriented programming
• Proven experience working with e-commerce platforms (products, checkout, payments, orders, stock management)
• Strong MySQL skills, including database design, schema modifications, and query optimisation
• Comfortable working with a custom-built PHP framework (no modern frameworks)
• Confident operating within a Linux environment

Frontend & Asynchronous Development:

• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with jQuery and AJAX for asynchronous requests and dynamic page updates

Integrations & System Tasks:

• Experience with third-party integrations, including:
• Payment gateways
• Shipping providers (e.g. Parcelforce)
• Supplier integrations for product and stock updates
• Experience creating and maintaining cron jobs for automated processes
• Familiarity with API-based data synchronisation

Additional Skills:

Ability to debug and maintain legacy codebases
Experience with performance optimisation and system maintenance
Comfortable working on a large, evolving e-commerce system built from scratch
