Job Description

Data Scientist (Manager Level) Clearance Required: Must be eligible for SC Clearance (UK citizenship + 5 years UK residency)

About the Role:

Are you someone who thrives on solving complex problems with simple, effective solutions? Do you enjoy creating clarity from ambiguity and shaping the future through data-driven decision-making?

We’re looking for a Data Scientist who’s equally comfortable writing elegant code, advising clients, or presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders. If you love working with cutting-edge technologies, driving innovation, and making a measurable impact, this is your opportunity to lead, influence, and grow.

Clients love working with you — you're trusted, reliable, and great at communicating clearly. You enjoy inspiring others and translating complex technical topics into meaningful insights.

This role is hands-on and client-facing. You’ll guide high-impact projects across industries, contribute to strategy, and help shape our future as we grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and delivering data science projects for clients, acting as a subject matter expert
  • Translating business problems into data science solutions using robust, evidence-based approaches
  • Working in agile, innovation-focused environments with quick iterations and real-world impact
  • Identifying and evaluating data sources and selecting the right modelling approaches (structured, unstructured, text, time series, image, etc.)
  • Building scalable, maintainable code and data science pipelines
  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating cloud, on-prem, and hybrid ML solutions
  • Creating compelling data narratives and visualisations to communicate insights effectively
  • Applying ethical data handling and ensuring data security best practices
  • Contributing to client engagements, pitches, and strategic initiatives
  • Supporting internal growth by shaping company strategy, mentoring colleagues, and sharing your expertise

About You:

You’re a confident and experienced Data Scientist who can move easily between technical detail and strategic context. You enjoy working in collaborative environments and are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone to support clients, colleagues, or innovation initiatives.

What You Bring (Essential)

  • 5+ years of industry experience in data science, with a STEM degree or equivalent
  • Proven consultancy, engineering, or data industry experience
  • Expertise in Python for data science, machine learning, and data engineering
  • Experience leading complex client-facing projects across a range of technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines
  • Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Graph DBs)
  • Solid understanding of code quality best practices (version control, error handling, testing, monitoring, optimisation, etc.)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in data security or ethical AI
  • Exposure to multiple industries or problem domains
  • Previous involvement in strategic or business-facing roles

Why Join Us?

  • You’ll join at Manager level, playing a key role in shaping our growing business
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your voice is heard and valued
  • Collaborate with experts across tech and business disciplines, solving high-impact problems that truly matter
  • Work on meaningful challenges with organisations that protect and serve the UK
  • Gain exposure to all aspects of business — from delivery to operations, marketing to strategy
  • Be part of a culture built on Fairness, Transparency, and Daring
