This role offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, applying data analytics, model training, software development, and AI to address real-world issues and enhance or generate new products within the Classify platform.
Education requirements:
- University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Experience:
- Demonstrated project experience with real-world datasets
- Portfolio showcasing data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
Essential Criteria:
- Programming Proficiency: Advanced competency in Python, including data structures, functions, and maintainable code practices
- Statistical Analysis: Strong foundation in statistics (hypothesis testing, distributions, probability) and mathematics (linear algebra, calculus)
- Data Manipulation: Expertise in data cleaning and transformation using pandas, SQL proficiency, handling missing data and outliers
Desired Criteria:
- Machine Learning: Understanding of fundamental ML algorithms (regression, classification, clustering) and model evaluation metrics; experience with scikit-learn preferred
- Data Visualization: Ability to create effective visualizations using matplotlib/seaborn/ggplot2 or similar; understanding of data storytelling principles
- Communication: Proven ability to translate technical findings into business insights; strong presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
