About the Role:

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you'll be key in designing, building, and deploying scalable AI and machine learning solutions across Forge Holiday Group. From creating data pipelines to developing advanced machine learning models, your contributions will drive customer interactions, internal insights, and strategic decisions.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Designing and maintaining end-to-end AI/ML pipelines in Microsoft Fabric.
  • Developing, training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning and deep learning models.
  • Implementing best practices in MLOps, such as versioned data, CI/CD pipelines, and model management.
  • Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and developers to solve complex business problems with AI solutions.
  • Ensuring high standards for data quality, governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
  • Exploring and adopting new tools and technologies to improve our AI/ML capabilities.
  • Mentoring junior team members and promoting a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.

What You Need To Know:

  • Team: Work alongside cross-functional teams while mentoring junior engineers
  • Tools: Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML, MLflow, Spark, Python, SQL, CI/CD, and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
  • Scope: Drive end-to-end AI/ML solutions for a multi-product, multi-region strategy
  • Reporting To: Head of Data Science / CTO

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable AI/ML data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics) and Azure ML, including MLflow.
  • Expertise with tools like Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, GIT, Python, and SQL.
  • Strong skills in developing and deploying machine learning models with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Deep understanding of data modelling, governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Capability to prioritise and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience with generative AI, large language models (e.g., LangChain, vector databases), and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Knowledge of AutoML, hyperparameter tuning, and advanced MLflow features.
  • Familiarity with real-time data platforms and streaming data.
  • Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, and deployment pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker).
  • Commercial awareness in sectors like e-commerce, travel, or holiday lettings.
  • Experience mentoring others or leading technical initiatives.
