A Data Scientist is required to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming data into meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making and enhance sales performance across the organisation.
Working collaboratively with IT and the Commercial Team, you will support the delivery of our data strategy by developing a deep understanding of key data sources across the business and translating them into scalable reporting and analytical solutions.
With a background in Data Science or Analytics (degree desirable), you will use your programming expertise to build, maintain, and optimise data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Alongside improving business-as-usual reporting, you will manage ad-hoc analysis requests, troubleshoot data issues, and contribute to the development of new reporting capabilities and data solutions.

Data Scientist Key Responsibilities:
- Support the business in collecting, organising, validating, analysing, and reporting data
- Develop and maintain semantic models, datasets, and data pipelines to support organisation-wide reporting
- Design and enhance programming solutions to deliver actionable insights
- Continuously improve data processes with a focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency
- Act as a trusted technical contact, providing reporting support to the Commercial Team and wider business
- Manage and optimise APIs for external data sources, driving automation and operational efficiency
- Apply AI and machine learning techniques where appropriate
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong analytical skills combined with commercial awareness
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience working with APIs to enable automation and efficiency
- Experience with data warehouses (Microsoft Fabric experience preferred)
- Experience developing and maintaining advanced dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Clear, confident, and inclusive communication skills
- Telecommunications industry experience (advantageous)
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence and Data Management
- Experience with Azure Managed SQL Instances (preferred)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (preferred)
- Experience delivering data transformation projects (preferred)
