Job Description

We’re looking to hire an experienced Data Scientist for our vision and machine learning department, to lead the development of vision and data-processing pipelines for our next-gen robotic systems. You’ll design and prototype image-processing algorithms and machine-learning models, with direct influence over product performance and autonomy.

This is a hands-on, applied role where you will bridge data science, AI, and robotics, taking ideas from prototype to field-tested implementation.

Data Scientist / Vision & Machine Learning for Robotics, Key Responsibilities

  • Develop image-processing & image analysis pipelines: registration, segmentation, classification, object tracking
  • Build, train, and evaluate deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, YOLO)
  • Design data-driven solutions to robotic vision and inspection problems
  • Prototype solutions in Python and/or MATLAB, moving quickly from idea to evaluation
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and deployment teams to ensure field viability
  • Perform statistical and numerical analysis to evaluate system performance and sensor data

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in developing image processing algorithms: segmentation, classification, object detection and other image analysis applications
  • Familiarity with machine learning and neural networks (YOLO, CNNs, etc.)
  • Experience using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks
  • Understanding of image-processing pipeline design, numerical methods, and statistics
  • Strong problem-solving ability, able to move from analysis to prototype quickly

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with TensorRT, Nvidia Deepstream, or other deployment frameworks
  • Background in neural network design or edge inference
  • Programming in C/C++ and CUDA
  • Real-time or embedded vision applications

Why Join?

  • Tackle some of the toughest challenges in robotics, vision, and infrastructure tech
  • Join a growing team with global ambitions and a collaborative, mission-driven culture
  • See your work in action on deployed robotic platforms across the world
  • Shape technology that directly contributes to climate resilience and smarter infrastructure

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Free On-site parking
  • Private medical insurance

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Application question(s):

  • How many years of experience do you have with developing image-processing & image analysis pipelines?
  • How many years of experience do you have with designing data-driven solutions to robotic vision and inspection problems?
  • What are your salary expectations for this role?
