Senior DevOps Engineer (ID: yhvidHLO)

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AWS expertise and a passion for automation, scalability, and continuous improvement.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions. You will work across the full development lifecycle, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems while driving best practices across CI/CD, monitoring, and automation.

Senior DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation – Create and maintain technical specifications and documentation for server-side features.
• Systems Analysis – Review current technology, identify areas for improvement, and implement scalable solutions.
• Development & Automation – Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Testing & Deployment – Streamline deployments and testing using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting – Ensure systems run smoothly with proactive maintenance and issue resolution.
• Monitoring & Observability – Implement and optimise monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, or the Elastic Stack.
• Continuous Delivery – Support high availability environments, automate repetitive tasks, and create robust dev/test environments.
• Cloud Management – Manage AWS environments and support wider cloud strategy.

About You:

We’re looking for a proactive engineer with a strong background in DevOps and cloud environments, who enjoys problem-solving and working in collaborative teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• BSc in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (or relevant hands-on experience)
• Strong experience with AWS (essential)
• Hands-on expertise with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Git, SVN, Jira)
• Knowledge of configuration management and monitoring tools (Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack)
• Experience with both Linux and Windows environments
• Strong scripting skills (Linux shell, PowerShell, or similar)
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure (advantageous)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider DevOps/engineering team
