As part of the team, you will be supported through training and mentorship before taking responsibility for building, maintaining, and enhancing a range of software solutions for customers in the Energy sector.

We are looking to strengthen our Aberdeen software team with a motivated, technically curious developer eager to learn and grow. Previous commercial experience is not required.

Graduate Software Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to existing customers using deployed solutions
• Assist in the planning, design, testing, and delivery of new and existing applications
• Evaluate current IT systems and identify opportunities for improvement
• Contribute to research and development projects as required

Software Engineer Required Skills & Experience:

• Degree in an IT-related discipline (Maths or Physics also considered)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Highly motivated, organised, and proactive
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Flexible approach to work and learning
• Understanding of programming concepts and the ability to code in at least one programming language

Desirable Skills:

• SharePoint Online
• Power BI (DAX)
• .NET, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or Java
• SQL and C#
• HTML, JavaScript, XML, and CSS
• Virtual infrastructure configuration
• WordPress platforms
• Willingness to travel overseas for short periods
