Our business produces a number of high-level media solutions that include conferences, awards, webinars, networking events, and community-based content. We deliver our solutions here in the UK and in North America. All events and content are targeted at 3 niches within the IT sector.
Web Developer Requirements
- This rare opportunity will suit an energetic and commercially minded, confident and forward-thinking individual who has very strong time management skills, project management skills, and an extensive working knowledge of Adobe product suites as well as WordPress, HTML, and CSS, and modern frameworks.
- Working closely with in a tight-nit team and reporting to the head of design and production, this is a central role to the business as all products derive from our sites.
- Sometimes a very loose or vague brief will be provided, but the right individual will be excited by this as they can use their creativity and innovation to deliver ever-changing concepts that keep the view of the business and products sharp, slick and cutting edge.
- Strong project management, planning, and organisational skills are required as this is a pivotal role in a small company. As such, excellent communication skills and the ability to play a key part in the team are essential.
Key tasks of the web developer are:
- WordPress website design and updates
- Ability to build sites from scratch
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern frameworks and libraries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases, including MySQL.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimise performance.
- Utilise project management tools such as Jira to track progress and manage tasks.
- Implement APIs for seamless data exchange between client and server.
- Server management and communication with ISP and technical delivery partners
- Attendance at events to include awards and conferences in the UK, India, and Canada, when required
