We're looking for someone to help design, launch and improve our network. You'll identify promising new routes, build the timetables that bring them to life, and use data to make our services work better. Your background matters less than how you think: you should be analytical, curious, comfortable moving between code and the real world, and committed to doing things well.
This is a broad, hands-on role spanning the full lifecycle of a route: from spotting an opportunity on a map to launching a service, analysing its performance and making it better. We're a small team, so you'll have plenty of ownership. When something needs figuring out, you'll be expected to take the initiative and work it through.
About Us
We're building the future of public transport: convenient, affordable, connected and zero-emission. Our ambition is simple — to make travelling from A to B easier and more enjoyable than driving your own car.
We are a technology company, not a traditional bus operator. We've built a platform that coordinates our entire operation, from monitoring vehicles and managing chargers to selling tickets and calculating arrival times. This lets us use our electric buses more intensively than any other operator in the world, dramatically reducing emissions while delivering a better passenger experience through innovations such as demand-responsive stops.
We're still a small team, operating a handful of routes with 98 buses. Our challenge is to scale the business by 50 times while staying lean, becoming more efficient and continually improving the service we offer. We've recently raised a Series A from some of Europe's leading climate-focused venture capital firms. Now, we're looking for mission-driven people who want to help shape what comes next.
Find the right routes
You'll spend time exploring Google Maps, researching existing transport options, testing ideas on the ground and speaking with local communities to understand what people actually need. You'll also need to understand the capabilities and constraints of our electric coach fleet and charging infrastructure.
The challenge is to balance passenger appeal with operational efficiency. The most attractive route on a map isn't necessarily the best one to run — you'll help us find the routes that work for both our passengers and our business.
Build smarter timetables
We don't rely on traditional, fixed-interval timetables that overlook how traffic and demand change. Our timetables are probabilistic, accounting for variations in how stops are used across different days, weeks and seasons.
You'll design these timetables, take them through council consultation and registration with the Traffic Commissioner, and ensure accurate service information reaches passengers wherever they need it — from Google Maps to printed timetables at bus stops.
Make the whole operation work
A good timetable is only part of the picture. You'll work closely with our operations and charging teams to establish what's needed to deliver a reliable service. That means understanding driver recruitment and training requirements, suitable rest facilities, vehicle availability and charging schedules.
You won't be responsible for delivering every part of the operation yourself. Instead, you'll connect the dots, identify what needs to happen and work with the right teams to make it happen.
Improve routes once they're running
Launching a service is the beginning, not the end. Once a route is live, you'll analyse its performance using our data and identify opportunities to improve it. That might mean adjusting the timetable, changing a stop or rethinking the service more fundamentally.
You'll use our own network-planning tools rather than relying on off-the-shelf software. You'll also work closely with our engineers to improve those tools as we learn from each route we plan and operate.
Use AI to do better work
We're serious about AI as a practical tool. You'll have generous access to frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI and others, and we expect you to use them to accelerate data work, strengthen your analysis and explore better ways of solving problems.
Being AI-native isn't a substitute for good judgement. You'll still be accountable for the routes you design, the assumptions you make and the timetables you launch.
What you might work on
You'll tackle a mix of new opportunities and improvements to existing services. Projects could include:
Designing and launching intercity routes in new areas. Identify promising corridors, assess existing transport alternatives, plan charging requirements, develop timetables and navigate registration with the Traffic Commissioner.
Redesigning a busy route's timetable. Use booking, occupancy and traffic data to find spare capacity and deliver more value for passengers without adding vehicles.
Building a route simulator. Test proposed timetables against historical demand and traffic data before committing drivers and chargers, giving us a clearer picture of how a service is likely to perform.
These are examples, not a fixed list. You'll have the opportunity to shape projects, spot problems worth solving and make a tangible difference to how we grows.
Who we're looking for
We want someone who is excited by the opportunity to join us early in our growth and help shape the network as we scale. Your ability to think, learn and get things done matters more than having worked in transport before.
You might recognise yourself in the following:

How to apply:
Upload your CV and a short note explaining why this role interests you. We value what you do over what you say, so please include a link to something you've built that demonstrates your skills — whether that's a data project, a piece of software, an analysis or something else you're proud of.
We're interested in how you approach problems, what you've learned and what you could bring to the party.
Help us build a better way to travel. Apply now.
