Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role as our Data & Business Intelligence Analyst, in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making within a growing international business.

Working closely with experienced operational, engineering and commercial teams, you will help define how data is used to improve business performance, enhance customer support and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.

You will develop KPI frameworks, interactive dashboards and analytical tools that provide clear visibility of business performance, highlight opportunities for improvement and support informed strategic decision-making. Your work will have a direct impact on how the business manages its assets, improves service delivery, identifies commercial opportunities and strengthens customer relationships.

This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to our evolving data strategy and develop innovative reporting solutions across CRM, ERP, telematics and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain and continuously improve KPI frameworks that provide clear visibility of business performance, trends and priorities.
  • Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across multiple departments.
  • Create meaningful management reporting that translates complex data into clear, practical and actionable business recommendations.
  • Ensure stakeholders have access to accurate, timely and reliable performance information.
  • Analyse operational, service and parts data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Leverage telematics, usage and operational data to identify opportunities for increased service revenue, parts sales and customer engagement.
  • Support the development of proactive maintenance, asset utilisation and customer support strategies through data-driven analysis.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI reporting solutions across CRM, telematics and operational data sources.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs.
  • Translate technical and analytical findings into clear, accessible and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Investigate anomalies, trends and exceptions, providing meaningful recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, engineering and commercial teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective analytical solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Analytics Engineer or similar data-focused role.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including:
  • Data modelling
  • DAX development and optimisation
  • Power Query
  • Dashboard and report development
  • Performance tuning
  • Report governance and best practice
  • Proven experience designing and implementing KPI frameworks, scorecards and performance measurement systems that support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of database structures, relational data modelling and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience extracting, transforming and modelling data from multiple sources, including ERP, CRM, telematics, operational and third-party systems.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation and analysis.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including Power Query, data modelling and complex analytical techniques.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated reporting, ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management, operational teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise competing demands and deliver high-quality analytical outputs in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
  • Dataflows Gen2
  • Lakehouse architecture
  • Warehouses
  • Pipelines
  • Real-Time Analytics
  • Fabric Workspace Administration
  • Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, predictive analytics and data engineering.
  • Experience integrating with and consuming data through REST APIs, web services and external data platforms.
  • Experience working with telematics, IoT, asset monitoring or machine-generated data sources.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning concepts and condition-based maintenance analytics.
  • Experience developing commercial analytics across areas such as:
  • Parts sales opportunities
  • Service revenue optimisation
  • Asset utilisation
  • Customer lifecycle management
  • Predictive maintenance opportunities

Qualifications

  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a similar role is advantageous.
