The role combines data analysis, dashboard development, data quality assurance and reporting automation, using Microsoft Power BI, SQL and modern data platforms.

Working closely with business stakeholders, the successful candidate will translate data into meaningful insights, develop interactive dashboards, maintain reporting solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality, governance and Business Intelligence capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to strengthen their expertise in data analytics, Power BI development, Microsoft Fabric and enterprise reporting while contributing to a growing Business Intelligence function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support root cause analysis, performance investigations and the identification of improvement opportunities.

2. Business Intelligence Development

  • Develop, enhance and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Create DAX measures and calculated columns, and implement business KPIs in line with reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of semantic data models and reporting datasets.
  • Support report optimisation, troubleshooting and performance improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of consistent, user-friendly reporting solutions across the organisation.

3. Data Management and Quality

  • Conduct routine data quality checks, validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Support master data management and governance processes.
  • Document data definitions, business rules, calculation methodologies and reporting standards.
  • Assist in maintaining data dictionaries, reporting catalogues and supporting documentation.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with relevant stakeholders to help resolve them.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with business users to understand and gather reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into practical reporting solutions, dashboards and analytical outputs.
  • Provide user support and guidance on Power BI reports and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Communicate analytical findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build effective working relationships with business and project delivery teams.

5. Reporting and Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and manual reporting processes.
  • Support data extraction, ETL processes and scheduled data refresh activities.
  • Help reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency through effective BI solutions.
  • Contribute to the standardisation of reporting processes, templates and performance metrics across departments.
  • Assist in monitoring the reliability and accuracy of automated reporting solutions.

6. Data Governance and Compliance

  • Adhere to organisational data governance policies, standards and procedures.
  • Support compliance with GDPR and information security requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, version control and audit trails for reports and dashboards.
  • Handle business data responsibly and in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Participate in audit, assurance and compliance activities as required.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to engage with stakeholders and understand their reporting needs.
  • A proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement and developing technical skills.

  • Practical experience developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience analysing business data and producing meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Experience gathering reporting requirements and working with business stakeholders.
  • Experience using SQL to extract, query and analyse data.
