As a Junior PHP Developer and Support Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and contribute to the growth of our team.
PHP Developer / Support Analyst Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st class front-line support to clients, troubleshoot issues, and problem-solve.
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL, and other relevant technologies, with an initial primary focus on reducing the number of support tickets and improving our own internal in-house support tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Knowledge, skills and experience - (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or JQuery).
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
Very strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for learning and growing as a developer.
Knowledge, skills and experience - (Desirable)
- Knowledge of PHP frameworks (e.g., Twig, Symfony).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Experience with front-end libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Basic understanding of Linux server administration.
