Location: Stockport – Head Office (On-Site)  -  Salary: £40,000 per year  - 

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent  -  Hours: 40 hours per week (8:30 am to 5:00 pm)

We are seeking an experienced Website Developer to join our Head Office team in Stockport. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to support and enhance a growing UK ecommerce retail website for one of the country’s best-known jewellery brands.

If you have strong ColdFusion (CFML), MySQL, JavaScript and e-commerce website development experience, this could be the ideal next step in your web development career.

Website Developer – Role Overview

• As a Website Developer, you will support, maintain and continuously improve our e-commerce website. Working alongside the Principal Website Developer, you will help deliver a high-performing, user-friendly online experience that drives customer engagement and revenue growth.
• This role is ideal for a developer with experience in online retail, e-commerce platforms and website performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain and enhance all areas of our ecommerce website
• Maintain and develop CFML (ColdFusion) pages and CFC services
• Build and maintain Vue.js components
• Work with and integrate REST APIs (GA4, Facebook, TikTok, Klaviyo)
• Implement and maintain tracking integrations using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
• Debug and optimise checkout flows, order processing and data issues
• Write and update SQL queries
• Maintain relational databases such as MySQL
• Ensure a seamless online customer journey to maximise e-commerce conversion rates

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Website Developer or Web Developer within an online retail or e-commerce environment
• Strong knowledge of CFML / ColdFusion development
• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment
• Experience in debugging e-commerce systems and improving website performance
