Web Developer (ID: VMrc8RLp)

We’re not looking for WordPress template editors or low-code button-clickers. We’re hiring a skilled PHP/Laravel engineer / Developer who takes pride in building, extending, and maintaining robust, scalable systems. If you enjoy writing clean, maintainable code and want to work on a live customer platform used daily, this role is for you.

Important: This is a fully on-site role. Remote candidates will not be considered. Applicants must live within 30 minutes of Westcott Venture Park, Buckinghamshire, and have the legal right to work in the UK.

About Us

We are the UK’s market-leading garden room manufacturer. We’re looking for a talented mid-to-senior Web Developer to join our small, focused engineering team.

You’ll work directly with our Development Director, helping to build and improve a customer portal that manages orders, payments, and customer interactions. You’ll contribute to both new feature development and ongoing system improvements in a production environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Build, maintain, and extend a Laravel-based customer platform
• Develop new functionality using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Support and improve existing systems—this isn’t a greenfield-only role
• Work with AWS-hosted infrastructure
• Collaborate closely within a small, engineering-led team
• What We’re Looking For
• Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel
• Solid JavaScript and MySQL skills
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code
• Comfortable working on both new features and legacy systems
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders

Note: This is not a role for WordPress customisers or low-code developers. We’re seeking engineers who understand how to build systems properly.

Requirements:

• Mid-to-senior level experience
• Able to work on-site at Westcott Venture Park (own transport required)
• Full-time, permanent role
