Backend Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing & AI Systems. We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to architect and build mission-critical systems that support our industry-leading workflow and execution tools. You’ll work on challenges that sit at the frontier of technology and manufacturing, including:

• Real-time monitoring of production environments
• AI-powered quality control and predictive analytics
• End-to-end traceability across designs, orders, and production lifecycles
• Scalable integrations with external manufacturing partners and suppliers

This role is not just about implementation — it’s about shaping our technical architecture and product direction while collaborating closely with experts in UX, AI, and manufacturing domain knowledge.

What You’ll Be Building

• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES): Traceable, data-intensive workflows managing orders, designs, and production processes.
• AI-Powered Features: LLM-driven systems for manufacturing insights, automated quality checks, and intelligent predictions.
• System Integrations: Robust APIs connecting our platform to suppliers, partners, and enterprise software.
• Vector Database Solutions: Semantic search and similarity matching for design optimization and quality assurance.
• Real-Time Data Pipelines: High-volume sensor streams, production metrics, and live quality measurement systems.

 Python Backend Engineer Requirements: (Must-Have Skills & Experience)

• 3+ years of professional Python 3.x backend development
• 3+ years of database design and optimization (PostgreSQL preferred)
• 1+ years of LLM/AI development (e.g., LangChain, RAG, vector databases)
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs at scale
• Track record with data-critical systems requiring accuracy and traceability
• Strong foundation in modular, testable code architecture
• Experience with agile delivery and CI/CD practices
• GitHub portfolio demonstrating relevant backend or AI projects

Highly Valued:

• Knowledge or interest in 3D printing / additive manufacturing
• C# development experience
• Frontend skills (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Experience with ERP integration, IoT data, or manufacturing systems
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments
