Your Role as a .NET Web Developer

In this role, you’ll focus on developing high-quality website code using the latest technologies, ensuring strict coding standards and exceptional quality throughout. Step in, make a difference, and have an impact from day one.

.NET Web Developer Main Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with developers and project teams to interpret requirements and adapt or improve existing technologies.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines, delivering on time and within sprint estimates.
  • Continuously enhance software engineering practices, embracing innovation and industry best practices.
  • Write clean, modular, high-performance code that adheres to SOLID principles and exceeds expectations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, implementing robust long-term solutions.
  • Stay current with .NET technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Ensure all output meets high standards of quality, accuracy, and performance.
  • Work closely with other departments to exchange ideas, support proposals, and problem-solve to create a seamless client experience.
  • Maintain awareness of client and agency budgets, looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Commit to continuous learning to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
  • Support team and agency initiatives, including occasional events outside standard working hours.
  • Take part in the appraisal process and collaborate with your manager on professional development goals.

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification (HNC/HND).
  • Strong software engineering experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Razor, SQL, and server technologies, including unit testing.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, methodologies, and development processes.
  • Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Demonstrated ability in requirements gathering, analysis techniques, and process improvement.
  • Passion for staying hands-on with technology and keeping up with emerging trends.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exposure to both architectural and implementation-level software design.
  • Understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter (or similar).
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
  • Strong knowledge of OOP and MVC principles.
  • Understanding of unit testing and testing methodologies.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of Azure services, including Storage, Search, App Insights, and Key Vault.
