Job Description

Magento Developer (Remote UK) - We’re looking for an experienced Magento Developer to join the team.

We are an established eCommerce agency specialising in Magento / Adobe Commerce solutions for ambitious B2B and B2C brands. Our focus is on building scalable, high-performance platforms using modern development practices and clean architecture.

Our projects typically involve complex integrations between Magento and ERPs, CRMs, PIMs, and third-party services, so we place a strong emphasis on code quality, maintainability, and performance.

We work extensively with:

  • Magento Open Source & Adobe Commerce
  • API-driven architectures
  • Hyvä Themes
  • Tailwind CSS & Alpine.js
  • Modern Git-based development workflows

Magento PHP Developer Role

We’re looking for a skilled Magento PHP Developer to join our growing remote team.

This role is ideal for someone confident working across Magento backend development, integrations, APIs, and Hyvä-based frontend builds. You’ll enjoy solving real-world eCommerce challenges, contributing to technical decisions, and building solutions that are designed to scale.

You’ll work across the full development lifecycle — from technical discovery and implementation through to optimisation, support, and ongoing platform improvements, collaborating closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining custom Magento modules and integrations
  • Building and extending Hyvä frontends using Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js
  • Designing, consuming, and maintaining REST and SOAP API integrations
  • Optimising Magento stores for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Working within Git-based workflows and collaborating via pull requests
  • Supporting and enhancing existing client platforms
  • Contributing to technical standards and architectural decisions

What We’re Looking For - Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience with Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce
  • Proven experience working with the Hyvä frontend framework
  • Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Solid PHP and Magento architectural knowledge
  • Experience building bespoke themes and custom modules
  • Performance optimisation experience across frontend and backend
  • Confident using Git for version control
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments
  • Strong written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have

  • Adobe Commerce or Hyvä certifications
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Knowledge of GDPR and PCI DSS compliance
  • Agency experience or exposure to multiple client projects
  • Experience integrating Magento with ERP or third-party systems

What We Offer

  • £40,000 – £50,000 salary depending on experience
  • Fully remote working
  • Quarterly in-person meetups and team events
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Private medical insurance
  • Access to Adobe & Hyvä certifications
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Interesting Magento projects using modern tooling
  • A supportive and highly experienced technical team

Additional Information:

  • This role is UK-based only
  • Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Remote working with quarterly in-person meetups

Benefits:

  • Private medical insurance
  • Work from home
