As a Junior Web Developer, you will play a vital role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, high-performing websites. You’ll collaborate closely with our creative, social, and marketing teams to bring ideas to life and build digital experiences that meet and exceed client expectations.

Junior Web Developer Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining websites and online applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code while learning advanced frameworks such as Laravel, Node.js, and SCSS.
• Build fully manageable and customisable websites using platforms like WordPress and Shopify.
• Collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Test and debug websites across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms.
• Bring fresh ideas to the team and contribute to a positive and forward-thinking development culture.

Essential Skills & Qualities:

• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Basic knowledge of PHP.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for matching development work to design specs.
• Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Passion for development and awareness of current digital technologies.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with advanced WordPress development, including custom themes and ACF.
• Understanding of modern frameworks (Laravel, Node.js, SCSS).
• Familiarity with task runners and build tools (Gulp, Webpack, NPM).
• Knowledge of database management.
• Server-side programming experience (PHP or Node.js).
• Experience configuring hosting environments and deploying projects.
