Front-End Software Engineer (React) (ID: qnZ34S6p)

We’re seeking a React Front-End Software Engineer to join our Digital team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this key position, you’ll play a vital role in the development of our next-generation patient management platform, the digital foundation of our clinical and operational services.

As the technical lead for front-end development, you’ll design and build intuitive, scalable user interfaces that support patient journeys across private healthcare, the NHS, and occupational health pathways. Collaborating closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders, you'll help shape the direction of our digital ecosystem and influence the broader engineering strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks, someone who’s ready to lead, innovate, and make a meaningful impact.

React Front-End Software Engineer Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of new features and UI components.
• Create responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces aligned with our design system.
• Own and manage front-end codebases, setting direction on architecture and best practices.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to build and improve our patient-facing applications.
• Mentor and support engineers, championing code quality, performance, and usability.
• Work with the Software Engineering Manager and Product Owner to align deliverables with business goals.
• Contribute to agile processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support wider technical projects across the business when needed.

Technical Skills & Experience Required:

• Proficiency in front-end framework (React), TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS and Shadcn UI components (or similar libraries).
• Familiarity with Redux, RTK Query, or other state management patterns.
• Knowledge of build tools such as Vite, Webpack, and NPM.
• Solid understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Practical use of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Ability to translate Figma designs and wireframes into polished implementations.
• Strong grasp of UI/UX principles and modern web application architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience delivering robust, user-centric web applications.
