Job Description

We are looking for an experienced C Programmer to join our team and contribute to the development and refinement of our existing Swift system. This is a hybrid position, with flexibility around in-office attendance. During training, frequent office presence will be required; post-training, we anticipate only one office day per month.

C Programmer Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance modules in the Swift system using C.
  • Write and maintain bash scripts.
  • Compile code using GCC and Makefiles.
  • Create detailed technical specifications for stakeholder approval.
  • Develop new modules and maintain integration with external systems.
  • Support users in resolving Swift system issues.
  • Correct customer data, as authorised.
  • Participate in the overnight on-call support rota.
  • Provide support for other IT tasks when needed (e.g., user support, system admin).

C Programmer Essential Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on C programming experience.
  • Strong experience working with Makefiles and compiling with GCC.
  • Background in system integration.
  • Familiarity with Subversion (SVN).
  • Good understanding of Red Hat Linux.
  • Proven ability to read, support, and modify existing code.
  • Experience in the financial sector is advantageous but not required.
