Job Description

DevOps Release Engineer: We are looking for an experienced and result-driven DevOps Release Engineer to work as part of a cross-functional team, with hands-on experience working within the organisation’s software development lifecycle. This role heavily focuses on day-to-day management of application build, release, and deployment aspects to deliver faster and safer, high-quality software to businesses.

Main Responsibilities as DevOps Release Engineer:

  • Take ownership of creating and maintaining existing CI/CD solutions (Jenkins & Azure DevOps) to meet build, test, release, and deploy & security requirements.
  • Manage and perform application build, package, and software release management process to deploy to all environments
  • Hands-on proven experience in developing standardised, automated build & release processes to support agile delivery methodology.
  • Define, create & manage application software code branches to support the application branching approach. Experience with a source code management system, e.g., git, is essential.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors for application support, DevOps, and production deployment.

Skills and experience you need as a DevOps Release Engineer:

  • Demonstrable experience (at least 5 years) as a DevOps Release Engineer or similar role. Experience with the EIS policy admin system will be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience and hands-on experience with a wide range of DevOps toolchain – Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Git / GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium.
  • Experience with cloud technologies – Azure, e.g., Kubernetes, App Services, Azure Functions, etc., and proficiency in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
