  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and reliability of data across multiple platforms and sources
  • Create and maintain data models, storage solutions, and integration frameworks
  • Support the ingestion, transformation, and processing of large-scale electricity market and Settlement data
  • Partner with Data Scientists and Analysts to enable advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to maintain platform performance and stability
  • Apply DataOps best practices, including automation, testing, deployment, and CI/CD
  • Continuously improve platform performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Contribute to data engineering standards, governance, documentation, and technical best practices

What we're looking for

We're interested in candidates who bring:

  • Proven experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform, or ETL development roles
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and processing
  • Experience designing and supporting scalable data pipelines and distributed data processing solutions
  • Expertise working with large, complex datasets within cloud environments
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data architecture principles
  • Experience with cloud data technologies such as Azure and Databricks
  • Familiarity with orchestration and workflow tools, including Azure Data Factory or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps/DataOps practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills
  • Experience working within Agile, cross-functional teams

Desirable:

Experience within the energy, utilities, or other  (What's in it for you?)

  • Competitive salary of £55,000
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Private medical insurance
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Hybrid working model with 2 days per week in our London office
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • The chance to work on meaningful projects that support the UK's energy market and net-zero transition
