Job Description

We are a fast growing Company and looking for a UK-based Associate Data Engineer to join us on the journey!

About us

We are a Toronto-based SaaS company on a mission to empower professionals with industry intelligence that drives action. Our cutting-edge technology helps sales teams accelerate revenue by delivering deep, relevant insights — fast.

We're not just building better tools for our customers — we're building meaningful, growth-driven careers for our team. We believe in finding your “full picture” professionally, just as we help our clients understand theirs. Our vision is to become the world’s most trusted and useful source of industry knowledge for professionals who need to stay ahead.

Our Mission

To deliver industry awareness to an ever-growing number of people — in ways that help them make smarter decisions, take faster action, and excel in their unique roles.

About the Associate Data Engineer Remote UK Role:

As our Associate Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with our Data Engineer and broader team to build, automate, and refine data processes. From web scraping and data pipeline setup to LLM experimentation and workflow integration, you'll be hands-on in solving real-world data challenges.

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy designing processes from scratch, love working with Python, and bring a background in life sciences or a related data-heavy field.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with data team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements
  • Support solution design and implementation using Python and related tools
  • Automate manual data tasks and build pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (APIs, databases, scraping, etc.)
  • Run experiments with large language models (LLMs) and help incorporate them into new workflows
  • Test, validate, and document your work with clarity — including user guides and SOPs
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to planning and prioritization

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in a scientific or tech field — or equivalent hands-on industry experience
  • Solid Python skills, including libraries like Pandas, requests, and selenium
  • Experience working with databases and spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical thinking — you love solving complex problems
  • A quick learner who can understand complex systems and communicate them clearly
  • Someone who thrives in a remote environment and values structure and documentation

Detail-oriented

  • To show you’re paying attention, include the name of the establishment located at coordinates 43.66484814697388, -79.45482568477735 in your cover letter

Bonus Points For

  • Experience at a tech company or in a life sciences data role
  • Familiarity with APIs, LLMs, web scraping, and version control
  • A background in automating manual workflows
  • Writing user-friendly documentation or Standard Operating Procedures
  • Juggling multiple projects or priorities in a fast-paced environment

Why Join us?

  • Equity Ownership – 20% of our company is always reserved for employee options
  • 4 Weeks Paid Vacation – Plus all local UK Bank Holidays
  • Annual Learning Stipend – £800+ to invest in your skills
  • Company Retreats – When we hit our goals, we celebrate big (past destinations: Portugal, Iceland, Costa Rica...)
  • Health Benefits – Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Parental Leave – Paid and topped-up for new parents
  • Giving Program – Support causes that matter to you, funded by us
  • Flexible, Remote-First Culture – Work from anywhere in the UK
  • Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday
